Our founder was Dr. D. Jayaharan who established this hospital in 1962 on July 4th. He was a graduate from Miraj Medical College, Maharashtra. His initial years were in the Irish Presbyterian Hospital at Surendera Nagar, Gujarat. He then came back to his hometown and worked in Catherine Booth Hospital, before going on to establish his own private practice a pioneer in private practice in this district.
It was a modest beginning with a 17 bedded nursing home, an operation theatre and labour room. He was a bold surgeon who single handedly managed all aspects of medical practice. He was known for his encouraging words, his endearing pat on the shoulder and his philanthropic nature. He was widely acclaimed as a gifted surgeon. His hectic career was cut short by illness in 1991.
His legacy has been continued by his son Dr. Sunil Jayaharan (General Surgeon) and his wife Dr. Sashya (Pediatrician) who have built up on the foundation to what it is today.
We are now a 72 bedded Multispecialty hospital, with visiting consultants of all specialties. Our focus is on ethical, professional and wholesome medical to all keeping our eyes focused on Jesus Christ the Healer & Saviour,
